The Cambridge office is on an ambitious growth journey, and we need equally driven and ambitious people to join our Private Client Tax Team.
We are seeking an experienced and driven Private Client Tax Manager to join our team. As a Tax Manager, you will be integral in delivering tax planning, compliance and advisory services tailored to the unique needs of a diverse and impressive high-net-worth client base. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and high performing team of tax professionals.
This will be a hybrid role, with the requirement to be in the Cambridge office to collaborate with colleagues three times a week.
As a Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Manage and oversee a portfolio of high-net-worth private clients, ensuring the provision of tailored and strategic tax advice.
* Lead the preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns ensuring compliance with the latest tax updates.
* Provide advice on a broad range of tax matters, including income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax for individuals, families, trustees and partnerships.
* Collaborate closely with other teams to offer broad solutions to clients and address their complex needs.
* Build strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional services and client growth.
* Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
To be successful in this role, you should:
* ATT, CTA, or equivalent professional qualification in accounting or taxation;
* Proven experience in managing a private client tax portfolio;
* Trust, partnership and experience with rural clients is preferable but not essential;
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations;
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to clients;
* Client-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality service;
* Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities;
* Adaptability to changing tax regulations and industry trends;
