Empowering Futures: Seeking Dedicated Teaching Assistants for our Specialist SEN Secondary School
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people facing social, emotional, and communication challenges?
We are a dedicated SEN secondary school in Smallfield, providing a nurturing and supportive environment for students aged 11-16. Our mission is to empower every student to reach their full potential, academically, socially, and emotionally. We are currently seeking passionate and resilient Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team in long-term and supply roles.
Our Holistic Approach:
We believe in fostering the whole child, addressing not only their academic needs but also their emotional well-being and social development.
* The Power of Relationships: We utilize a relational approach to behavior, applying Bruce Perry's three Rs: Regulate, Relate, and Reason. We believe that strong, trusting relationships are fundamental to a student's success.
* Positive Strategies for Growth: Our commitment to Positive Behaviour Support and Restorative Approaches empowers students to develop essential social skills, navigate conflicts peacefully, and build resilience within their relationships.
* Building Trust, Brick by Brick: We recognize that many of our students may have had previous negative experiences in educational settings. We invest time and care in developing trusting relationships with both our students and their families.
What You Can Contribute:
We are looking for individuals who embody:
* A Passion for Inclusion: You have a genuine commitment to supporting students with social, emotional, and communication needs, fostering their self-esteem and belief in their own abilities.
* Empathy & Understanding: You possess a deep well of patience, empathy, and understanding, recognizing that challenging behaviors often stem from unmet needs.
* Collaborative Spirit: You thrive in a team environment, collaborating effectively with colleagues, families, and specialists to create a cohesive and supportive learning experience for every student.
If you're ready to embark on a deeply rewarding journey where you can make a tangible difference in the lives of young people, we encourage you to apply.
