What skills and experience we're looking for
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic teacher to take on a leadership role within the MFL Department at King Edward VI School. The successful candidate will support the Head of MFL with the leadership and management of the department, with a particular responsibility for leading French. This includes the co-ordination and delivery of Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level French.
For a suitably qualified candidate there may be an opportunity to take on further responsibility with an additional TLR as Acting Head of Department one day per week. We are looking for an exceptional practitioner with experience in subject leadership. The successful candidate will have a pro-active approach and excellent communication skills. As Second in MFL they will have a strategic role in working alongside the Head of MFL to shape the development of teaching and learning across the department in order to maximise achievement.
