Have you got what it takes to be a Recruitment and HR Support Advisor at Blackpool Council?
Working within a small specialised team, reporting into the Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload delivering a service internally to Council managers and also to some of our important customers such as other Councils, Academies/Schools, and other organisations.
Primarily you will be responsible for supporting recruiting managers through recruitment campaigns and employee set up which includes ensuring pre-employment checks are in place and issuing contracts. Additionally, you will have involvement in managing other employee events such as employee/contractual changes and terminations.
The ideal postholder must possess:
1. Strong ICT skills, with experience of Microsoft office products, and comfortable learning to work on bespoke systems.
2. An eye for detail and act in a confidential manner, particularly in relation to handling and transposing personal data and employment contracts.
3. Confidence and ability to communicate effectively with applicants, recruiting managers, heads of service, head teachers and business managers.
4. Organisational skills, with the ability to manage a busy and varied workload in a timely manner and to deadlines and payroll cut off.
This role is offered on a hybrid basis, dependent on workload delivery and service requirements, with time split between working from home and the office.
