Up to £75,000 dependent on experience We’re seeking two dedicated Data Protection Managers to join our team. Reporting into the Head of IT Risk, you’ll coordinate, facilitate and prepare the flow of activity to the second line data protection team ensuring timely engagement, prioritisation and preparation have been executed for an efficient outcome. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing: Establishing integration into relevant UK CTO committees and forums to ensure early awareness and engagement for new/changes to infrastructure or technology from a data protection perspective Coordinating the approach of technological change and advancement by facilitating prioritisation within the CIO function and other relevant functions Undertaking data privacy impacts alongside programmes and projects established for technological change and advancement Flagging key privacy considerations at the earliest opportunity ensuring regulatory and legal requirements are embedded from the outset Overseeing all engagement considers the AXA UK privacy framework laws, regulations and AXA Group standards by partnering with the second line data protection team Acting as a central point between the first line CIO function and the second line data protection function at UK level, considering transversal delivery through to business units Due to the number of applications we expect to receive for this role, we reserve the right to close this advert earlier than the listed closing date to ensure we’re able to effectively manage interest. What you’ll bring: Experience in a Data Protection role as an oversight function such as a practitioner, advisor or manager Ability to demonstrate composure under pressure Experience assessing data privacy risks across different technologies Understanding of IT architecture systems, application mechanics and technicalities Familiarity working in a large organisation with complex infrastructures and technological environments Methodical and organised approach to work Certified with a recognized body is desirable; IAPP CIPP/E; ISEB/; PDP Privacy Qualifications As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
