From net carbon-zero accommodation to runways for the F35 fighter jets, our outputs are unique in the UK and across the globe Accommodation Responsible for the management of Service Family Accommodation ensuring that there are the correct number of homes in the right place and at the right standard. Working with our Industry Partners to ensure homes are of a safe standard and regularly maintained. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. Job description This post is responsible Accommodations digitally enabled services both within Accommodation and for those systems that have a direct interface with Industry Partners. Additionally leading the co-ordinated approach to collaborative working with, and between, Industry Partners regarding their systems and their respective interfaces with each other. Working closely with the wider Digital, Data and Technology function, Finance and Commercial stakeholder to ensure correct alignment and effective data management and other systems, all systems are compliant, fit for purpose and sponsoring and overseeing all changes required by the DIO to Accommodation related systems to ensure they are coherent and provide clear beneficial outcomes and value for money. Using data and analytical approaches to identify opportunities to digitise processes that unlock value and improve the services and efficiency provide by the DIO Accommodation team. Establishing and leading systems and digital governance from the Senior Management Team through the organisation to ensure robust and evidenced based decision making, with clear boundaries and inflow/outflow of information and escalation points. Line management of this role is to the Deputy Director Accommodation but has functional line management into CIO due to the nature and specificity of the role. The role line manages a small team of individuals ranging from EO to SEO. The role will programme manage, working with Industry Partners, the delivery of the HomeHub system to serving families and act as SRO for the established Defence Occupancy Management Information System overseeing its development and migration to Cloud hosting. The post holder must maintain strong understanding the roles and responsibilities in the supply chain around their services in relation to the associated systems, their integrations with other supplier systems and DIO owned and operated systems in order to hold them to account for availability, performance including reliable data exchange. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to; Providing leadership to the Digital and Systems team and Dir Accommodation Chief of Staff. Optimising resources for which the post has responsibility, lead with clarity and enthusiasm; encourage skill and capability development, creating room for innovation. Actively engaging with key stakeholders across Industry Partners and Regional Delivery to collate an Accommodation Digital and System Change Programme, aligned with RD and CIO. Cultivating and managing a range of relationships and key strategic alliances with internal/external stakeholders. Lead senior stakeholders in regularly reviewing the continuing relevance of projects/systems based on clear understanding of cost, risk, and Accommodations in-year business plan. Overseeing the development of business cases that justify projects in terms of benefits, cost and risk. Establishing and maintaining governance arrangements for the delivery of projects, defining clear roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities that align with organisation practice. Developing and maintaining user and stakeholder engagement. Leading on communication and engagement activities in line with DIO Corporate Communications strategic messaging and wider MOD communications policy and guidance. Creating, leading and managing the development of the Future Accommodation Systems Plan Overseeing and supporting the development of in-flight change management plans. Representing Accommodation at technology, information & business change governance boards. Acting as Accommodations stakeholder across wider organisational change. Person specification To be successful in post, you need to have experience working in a technology and data environment, applying value stream analysis to identify opportunities to add value to an organisation; using an agile methodology to deliver digital and information projects.
