Full-Time Secondary SEMH Learning Support Assistant – Horncastle
Are you passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Horncastle on a full-time basis.
Role Details:
* Position: Secondary SEMH Learning Support Assistant
* Location: Horncastle, Lincolnshire
* Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
* Salary: £85-£95 per day (dependent on experience)
* Duration: Ongoing, starting ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and group support for secondary-aged students with SEMH needs.
* Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
* Support students both academically and emotionally, helping them to overcome barriers to learning.
* Work closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
* Support students with their social and emotional development, encouraging positive behaviour and engagement.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Level 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) qualification (or equivalent).
* Experience working with students with SEMH or other special educational needs.
* Knowledge of SEMH care, behaviour management techniques, and effective learning strategies.
* A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to working with young people.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
