We have an exciting opportunity to work for a well-established company in the Birmingham area! This person will handle journal entries, reconciliations, and AP/AR, while assisting in financial statement prep, and cash management!

Compensation: $60 – 75K annually DOE
What you’ll be doing:
* Analyze and organize financial data to create journal entries, account reconciliations, and reports.
* Generate financial statements such as the balance sheet and income statement, summarizing the overall financial status.
* Manage and document transactions related to investments and long-term liabilities, including acquisitions, disposals, accruals, payments, and supporting reports.
* Oversee the reconciliation of bank accounts, capitalization of fixed assets, and management of project-related costs.
* Assist with monthly financial closing, year-end audits, and the processing of unclaimed assets.
* Work closely with the accounts payable team to review invoices and ensure accurate payment processing.
* Handle inventory accounting, monitor compliance with safety regulations, and support audits for pension plans, other post-employment benefits (OPEB), and workers’ compensation.
What you’ll need to be considered:
* Bachelor in Accounting – required.
* 4+ years of Accounting experience with strong general ledger experience.
* Experience with ERP systems.
What could set you apart:
* Master’s Degree or CPA – a plus.
