To actively support the implementation and governance process of electronic solutions under the direction of the Digital Health Teams including Digital Matron and Digital Specialist Nurses. This will include, but is not limited to: o Assist with the organisation, co-ordination and planning of a schedule of training o Delivery of a multitude of education programmes focused on the electronic patient record to a diverse target audience in a range of settings such as formal training classroom based, junior doctor forums, engagement events, team meetings and our biggest focus of at the elbow training. Delivering real time education in a clinical setting ensuring our staff are adequately trained and up to date. o Help to build and write teaching plans to suit the needs of the teaching situation and identify candidates who require additional support and ensure this is provided in a manner that encourages learning. o Work in a manner that allows education delivery to all clinical staff this will include weekend and night shift working o Participate in training needs analysis. o Act as custodian for digital solutions provided to the clinical teams, ensure it is in good working order, co-ordinate the maintenance of equipment and maintain a database of the equipment. o To be a first point of contact for the care groups in relation to product troubleshooting o To work clinically alongside registered and non-registered clinical staff supporting the introduction of digital projects, demonstrating clinical competence. o Ensure clinical competence is maintained and, when working in clinical areas, ensure that you respond in a timely manner to meet patient needs and ensure excellent standards of clinical care are provided to patients. o Recognise limitations in clinical knowledge and skills and never undertake tasks which are not within the role of the Digital Health Support Officer. o Exercises clinical judgement in response to emergency actions whilst undertaking duties in clinical environments and understands the underlying Trust Policies and Procedures. o To enhance clinical engagement through effective communication. o Clinical audit and data gathering to provide appropriate information to the Digital Matrons/Digital Specialist Nurses when required. o Check progress against agreed targets highlighting where improvements are required o Ensure accurate database is maintained with regard to training records, achievement and updates in accordance with project milestones o Attend Essential Training as scheduled, comply with regular appraisals and flexibility needs of the team.
