What You'll Do
In your role as the Financial Controller, you will lead Vanden's Accounting Finance team in Lisburn, leveraging your extensive expertise to establish adaptable systems that can match the fast-paced and ever-evolving nature of the company. Collaborating with external collaborators and the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping significant financial choices. Additionally, you will provide guidance to team members, simplify reporting procedures, and promote a culture of ongoing enhancement, complete with mechanisms for evaluating and acknowledging success.
You will thrive in a fast-moving environment that involves managing changing global market conditions, collaborating closely with the commercial and finance teams, and promptly addressing everyday inquiries to facilitate financially astute decisions that drive business growth and enhance profitability.
You will support our Finance Director with treasury and Banking Management - overseeing the entire banking function and managing the end-to-end cash process and treasury operations. You will collaborate closely with funding partners to negotiate financial facilities and oversee short to medium-term cash flow and capital needs. Leveraging your established network to identify and cultivate new funding relationships in support of the company's future growth objectives.

* Experienced: you have a strong foundation of accounting experience which includes a substantial background of working in a consultancy and in industry. Ideally, you've worked with SME's and Multinational companies, reflecting an understanding of the complexities associated with such organisaitons.
* Team Leader: You bring a track record of building and leading successful finance teams within a growing and dynamic organization. Your leadership style is characterized by a positive, team-oriented attitude that instils confidence and motivates team members to tackle challenges with determination and enthusiasm.
* An Enterprise Planner: You excel in financial planning and analysis, demonstrating advanced proficiency in Excel. Additionally, you are highly skilled in utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to effectively manage both internal and external account information.
* Detail-Oriented: Your exceptional financial acumen enables you to maintain up-to-date accounts and reports meticulously. You possess the ability to identify even the most minor mathematical discrepancies, understanding that paying attention to small details can have a significant impact on the overall financial health and accuracy of the organization.
* Compliant: Your expertise extends to in-depth knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS and UK VAT/taxation knowledge as well as European VAT and taxation. Your dedication to compliance ensures that the organization adheres to all relevant regulations and standards.
