Who We Look For
Are you an experienced social care professional who can lead and manage Midland Mencap’s Carers Emergency Response Service?
Do you have passion for what you do, are a strong communicator, and have excellent problem-solving skills?
Midland Mencap is looking to recruit a Service Manager to oversee an established service providing an emergency response at times of crisis for Carers.
The Carer’s Emergency Response Service (CERS) provides care for up to 48 hours on a planned basis or where unforeseen circumstances occur.
CERS provides peace of mind and an emergency response that is free for those caring for a dependent family member.
You will manage and oversee all stages of registration, assessment, and implementation of an emergency backup plan. You will also coordinate and manage all instances where the service needs to respond to emergencies as they arise.
The service is provided at the person's home for up to two days, which allows time for alternative arrangements to be made with family, friends, or social services. Families can also benefit from a planned sitting service, allowing Carers to attend important appointments, such as at the doctors or hospital.
We seek applications from candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment and who can bring their skills and managerial experience to a role where no two days are the same.
We place a high value upon integrity, ethical standards, and a commitment to excellence.
Interested candidates should send a completed Application Form by 4th September 2024.
