Salary = £19.21 per hour (36 hrs per week Monday to Thursday)

Based in Manchester, we are currently recruiting for an Electrical Quality Inspector on a permanent basis to join our developing Quality Department. We have a wide variety of prestigious clients on some of the most exciting Military and Civil aviation training engineering projects around the world, and this role will be instrumental in developing this area of our business.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Carry out the necessary level and frequency of inspection and testing to ensure Quality & Safety Standards are maintained.
2. Inspect materials, parts, sub-assemblies, intermediate inspections along with final inspections for both electrical and electro-mechanical products within the business.
3. Ensure inspection of WIP parts, sub-assemblies / assemblies are carried out in coordination with the Manufacturing manager.
4. Attend supplier’s premises as required to undertake source inspection of goods and materials.
5. Raise Non-Conformance reports and corrective actions, ensuring effective solutions are achieved within defined time scales.
6. Ensure good housekeeping of the inspection department and inspection equipment is maintained.
Key Requirements
1. Experience of working within an ISO 9001 / AS/EN 9100 regulatory framework.
2. Experience and competence with calibration control and document control coordination.
3. Experience in First Article Inspections / (FAIRs) AS9102 or PPAP and Source Inspections.
4. Be competent in interpretation of drawings, technical specifications, standards, and electrical schematics.
5. Experience of working in both metric and imperial units of measure.
6. Willingness to travel to customer sites as and when required.
7. Ability to achieve UK security clearance essential.
