Your role and responsibilities
Join our Commercial team as a Caseworker and immerse yourself in a role that combines diverse responsibilities with opportunities for growth. You'll process road traffic orders, handle highways agreements, and provide invaluable advice on property cases. Sharpen your research and drafting skills while serving as a crucial liaison between professionals and stakeholders. Your ability to convey complex information clearly and manage multiple cases with competing priorities will be key. As you assist in delivering high-quality legal services and provide expert advice, you'll continuously expand your legal knowledge and expertise. You will need
* an honours degree and relevant work experience in a legal setting
* enthusiasm for solving legal problems, and a practical, strategic approach to advice
* willingness and aptitude for learning
* research, analysis and communication skills
* enjoyment of collaboration with colleagues and client officers
* ability to manage and process high volumes of documentation and information, to drive clear advice and effective case management
* to be able to organise your time and resources, and prioritise effectively
* desire to help further the councilâs objectives and support excellent service delivery
* an awareness of the political, reputational and financial factors bearing on the councilâs decision-making
* to bring your own values, experience and insights to enhance the team and help develop the department as a whole
