As part of our growth strategy, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Head of Branch Development to lead, direct, and oversee the operations and strategic direction of our branches.
Reporting to the Business Development Director, this individual will work closely with our National Branch Manager, supporting our customer-focused operations teams, and having responsibility for achieving operational excellence, whilst implementing the strategic direction for our branch network.
Responsibilities will include;
* Drive the strategic direction of our branch network and report on the ongoing strategy to the Senior Management Team
* Provide leadership and motivation to all staff within the branch structures. Direct reports will include our National Branch Manager
* Build and maintain positive relationships with SPS Envirowall branches by encouraging a flow of information between our branches and other business functions
* Develop a plan to grow our existing network and future opportunities
* Minimisation of costs, budget management and monitoring records
* Engagement and development of our operational teams with our National Branch Manager
* Completing site reviews and liaising with internal and external customers and stakeholders
* Identify gaps in service and help branches develop appropriate services to support the growth of the business
* Responsibility for compliance in all Health and Safety Work procedures within the branch environment.
* Be responsible for updating and implementing process manual. Investigate and understand legal responsibilities and implications through our business activities and to our customers.
* Develop e-Commerce offering for group through distribution hubs
* Create and promote “new identity” for Benx client facing distribution centres and develop marketing and client plan to increase enhanced uptake
* Further Develop uptake of BENX Render Club
The ideal candidate will have/be;
* Strong communication skills
* Able to demonstrate great self-motivation
* Have strong negotiation skills/capability
* Experience and understanding of the construction market
* Strong experience of stock and inventory management within a warehouse/distribution setting
* Must have previously worked in a senior operational leadership position
* Ability to constructively challenge people and processes to drive continuous improvement within the operation
* Able to initiate, drive, and implement plans to deliver results
This position is ideally suited to someone with good GCSE or A level results, with excellent communication skills both verbal and written and looking for a sustainable long term career with a growing company.
