This is an exciting opportunity to joina well established, hard working and welcoming team in the East sector ofBarnsley. As an Enhanced Mental Health Team (EMHT)we are a group of specially trained people who work together in order to offersupport to service users who experience complex mental health difficulties. The successful applicant would enjoy the challenge ofworking with a varied caseload of service users with the support of colleaguesfrom different professional backgrounds.
Wework flexibly with service users as a multidisciplinary team depending on theirlevel of need and coordinate services and care to work towards mental healthstability and recovery.
The Enhanced pathway is open 365 days a year and during the week the hours of workare divided into two shifts, between, there will also be arequirement to work some weekends

Main duties of the job
Through sharing the wisdom from their own lived experience, the postholder will aim to inspire hope and belief that recovery is possible in others.To be willing and able to share ones own personal recovery within projectwork, and to support others with experience/service user led projects anddevelopment, bringing the voice of experience in to the planning, design anddelivery of projects and developments. This will include a key role insupporting and developing mechanisms for working in partnership with, communityorganisations and groups.
The PPSW will take a lead role in embedding recovery values within theTrust, alongside other Trust champions and colleagues, and act as anambassador of recovery for the Trust with external agencies and partnerorganisations. Within a relationshipof mutuality, facilitate and support information sharing to promote choice, self-determination and opportunities for the fulfilment of socially valuedroles and connection to local communities.
There isan expectation that the PPSW will be involved in the ongoing development ofpeer roles within the Trust.
