We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development and Sales Enablement Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving new business growth while enhancing our sales processes and effectiveness.
Your responsibilities and tasks:
As a Business Development Manager at GEA FHT (UK&IRE), you will be a key member within our sales & business development team, working closely with the Sales and Marketing departments to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities. Your primary focus will be on market analysis, lead generation, and nurturing relationships with potential clients, all while taking the lead role in improving our sales enablement efforts.
(Industry specific knowledge in the food industry and sales and service of capital equipment is essential)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Analysis & Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify new opportunities and make informed recommendations. Create product/application focused market research reports to assist in deciding where to focus FLS activities to grow market share and generate new business.
2. Lead Generation: Identify and research potential clients, industries, and market segments for new business opportunities. Utilise various channels, including online research, networking events, and industry publications, to generate leads.
3. Prospecting: Reach out to potential clients through phone calls, emails, and social media to initiate conversations and establish initial rapport with new potential customers which can then be passed on to FLS.
4. Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with prospects, understanding their needs and pain points, and positioning our products/services as solutions.
5. Sales Enablement: Take the lead in developing and refining sales supporting presentations and materials. Ensure that the sales team has the necessary tools and resources to effectively communicate our value proposition to clients.
6. Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on key performance metrics related to lead generation, conversion rates, and revenue growth. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and tactics.
7. Partnership Engagement: Maintain ongoing communication with existing partner OEMs to identify mutual opportunities. Also, develop relationships with retailers to understand their needs.
8. Stretch Targets: Play a key role in achieving OI stretch targets set out by the business.
Your profile and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft office suite.
Industry specific knowledge in the food industry and sales and service of capital equipment is essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams.
Leadership skills and a strategic mindset for sales enablement.
Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong work ethic.
