What will this role achieve? The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting the Pack, Price and Promotional Plans for UK&I markets, tailoring short and long term promotional strategies for Grocery, Discounter, Impulse and Wholesale Channels. The incumbent will collaborate closely with Customer teams and the Commercial Strategy and Insights team with the aim of optimizing Sales per Ton, driving absolute profit and pladis value share growth for exciting brands such as MCVITIES - Chocolate Digestives, Hobnobs, Penguin, Club, Victoria Assortments and GoAhead, alongside the strong future Innovation pipeline. With the support of 3 direct reports, the Revenue Growth Controller will develop plans, aligned them with pladis leadership then ensure the execution of budgeted initiatives via the Customer and Commercial Planning teams. What will be your key deliverables? Monthly Business Planning (In year Execution & return on investment, ROI) Lead development of NRM budget, drive execution and take end to end ownership of NRM initiatives. Manage and deliver the branded P&L for the brand portfolio supported by 2 Revenue Growth Managers and 1 Revenue Growth Analyst. Understand brand and customer financial performance (int & ext) using established reporting tools in PowerBi and VMR reports (Volume, Rate, Mix). Working with the wider Category and Insights functions to optimise promotional return on investment, issue promotional guideline and ensure compliance. Lead the Channel and Customer differentiation plans to maximise growth and manage risk, supporting customer strategies such as Aldi Price Match. Lead the Packsize, Price architecture (PPA) agenda to re-engineer packs to manage costs and evolve Innovation into new occasions. Attend monthly performance reviews with the leadership team to deliver brand financials. Lead Pricing Council meetings with the pladis leadership team to drive decision making and long-term strategic thinking. Utilise Commercial and Category Insights resource to understand competitor insights and implications on pladis Pack, Price, Promo strategies. Annual Business Planning & 3 Year Strategy Plan (Strategy Development) Develop 3 year Pack, Price and Promotional strategies by Brand and Channel. Utilising input from Category, Consumer Insights, Procurement and Customer teams to apply a long-term pricing lens to future proof our brands and overcome macro and micro challenges. Representation for brands on cross-functional projects including innovation pack / price phase II launches such as ‘On the Go’ occasion or new pack format strategies. Collaborate closely with numerous functions such as Supply Chain to understand implications of NRM plans on production facilities and manage impacts accordingly. Procurement for latest cost basis and Government led initiatives for clarity of future legislation such as HFSS, sustainability and DRS. What do you need for this role?
