Electronics Engineer Graduate Programme 2025
Working pattern:
You'll gain lots of hands-on experience in our labs, and as such, time onsite is likely to be full-time at the start of your programme.
Security clearance:
British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after the offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
Closing date for this role is midnight on Monday 4th November
The opportunity:
You'll join either our Electronics Engineering or Missile Architecture functions – either route offers second-to-none opportunities to get involved in truly unique projects and products. All offer rotational placements to see everything that the function has to offer – spanning the engineering design and missile lifecycle.
The Electronics Engineering function plays a fundamental role in bringing together MBDA's missile systems: designing and integrating the electronics that drive our Weapon Control Units, Actuators, Telemetry & Communication Systems, and more.
There may also be an opportunity for you to undertake a placement at our manufacturing facility in Bolton or at EE's French office in Paris, France.
Electrical/Electronic Engineers within the Missile Architecture function are deployed across various exciting projects to define the topology and system-level design for our missiles, as well as manage the missile electrical/electronic equipment.
During your placements, you'll get the opportunities to work on the design and specification of the overall system, including how to undertake and manage design and performance trade-off studies, influence delivery of bespoke subsystem electrical/electronic equipment into the project (e.g. control units, PSUs, data links, actuation systems, telemetry units, etc.), along with the possibility to assist with testing and trials of components and missiles during the development phase.
What we're looking for from you:
Degree qualified in an Engineering, Computing, Maths, or Physics discipline (minimum 2.2).
What we can offer you:
* 2-year programme starting September 2025
* Company bonus and twice yearly salary reviews
* Pension of maximum total (employer and employee) contribution of up to 14%
* 25 days annual leave (plus holiday purchase) and up to 15 days flexi leave
