Heera Care Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced Team Leader to join our Norwood House team in our imposing grade II listed building in the heart of Gunness. The home is surrounded by beautiful well-tendered secure grounds, with a tranquil atmosphere. Easy access to bus routes, road, and train.
Reporting to the Home Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the provision of quality care to ensure all residents’ needs are met and their individuality and dignity is honoured.
This full-time, permanent position will entail a 2 weekly rolling rota.
Duties to include, but not be exclusive to:
1. Use the home's electronic systems to audit, and support with writing, individualised care plans and risk assessments covering all aspects of resident care.
2. Support the Home Manager in the training and supervision of your staff team, in order to support and motivate them.
3. Participate in, and sometimes chair, regular Staff and Resident meetings.
4. Assist the Home Manager across all areas of the business including, marketing the service, recruiting staff members and complaints handling.
5. Share on-call responsibilities with Registered Manager.
6. Take sole responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service, in line with company policy and procedure, in the absence of the Registered Manager.
Required skills:
1. Previous experience as a Team Leader or similar role is essential.
2. Thorough understanding of CQC regulations.
3. Experience and understanding of medication management and administration.
4. A NVQ Level 3 or above in Health & Social Care is desirable.
5. In-depth knowledge and experience of working with individuals living with Dementia; including knowledge of MCA, DoLS applications and safeguarding policies.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong IT literacy.
