Job Title: Transformation Programme Manager
Location: Durrington (Worthing) Hybrid

The business is preparing for a significant uplift in delivery as part of our environmental and water resources investment programme for the next five years. The programme to build the capability to enable this investment delivery is well underway, so the incoming programme manager will need to jump in and make a fast start to progress what is in delivery and ensure new business case driven projects are mobilised effectively.
This role is available as either a 12-month FTC or a permanent, to suit.
Job Overview
You will be ensuring all plans are robust, that risks and issues are understood and addressed and engaging heavily with stakeholders. This role does not come with any line management, however there will be a PMO, a PM and a Change Manager in the programme to manage, as well as external support.
Day to day, the role will involve:
1. Working with initiative owners on initiative development and delivery ensuring collective actions achieve target outcomes and benefits
2. Proactively support sponsors and initiative owners to identify gaps in actions required to deliver benefits, in risk mitigation, timely action closure and adoption of transformation standards
3. Complete preparation for the weekly and monthly programme reviews with sponsor, transformation office and initiative owners and lead on other reporting as required
4. Managing and running weekly and monthly programme reviews groups including preparation of presentations, minutes and action tracking
5. Managing effective and efficient delivery of the workstream programme through a best-practice programme management framework incorporating both traditional project, agile and continuous improvement initiatives
6. Maintaining control over decision making across the programme to ensure that outputs / outcomes are delivered on time, to quality and to budget necessitating effective stakeholder and risk / issue management
7. Supporting the development of business cases and be responsible for ensuring delivery of forecast benefits (financial & non-financial) through the team
8. Ensuring risks, issues and dependencies are recorded, monitored and proactively managed / mitigated to minimise disruption to successful delivery
9. Reviewing resource plans and ensure the programme has the right capabilities and capacity
10. Building effective cross-functional relationships
11. Coaching and developing colleagues in respect to initiative deliver to meet the changing needs of the programme
12. Being responsible for managing all inputs and feedback with the central transformation
About You
You will be a well-established Programme Manager who can join us and pick up tasks quickly. Ideally you will have experience in a regulated industry, with an understanding of assets and/ or capital delivery works.
You will be able to undertake the full remit of the role, getting your ‘hands dirty’ as well as working at high level.
You will live a commutable distance to our Durrington (Worthing) office as frequent office presence is required.
You will have:
13. A track record of programme management success within complex delivery environments with specific experience related to the workstream
14. Ability to think strategically with significant commercial and financial acumen
15. Ability to absorb and understand significant detail and be able to present at appropriate levels for different audiences
16. An excellent understanding of change concepts and human factors supported by proven change delivery experience
17. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
18. Excellent communication skills, both orally and through written presentations
19. An understanding of regulated utility environments (ideally, not essential)
20. Ability to balance the controls required across multiple delivery approaches with capability and capacity constraints
Package
This role will be full time Monday to Friday with a hybrid approach to working between our Durrington office and home (2-3 days in the office).
