Network Architect
Location: Basingstoke (BSN01)
The Change Impacting Technical Team is responsible for the impacting of Change Requests submitted to the Programme from the customer. We are looking to grow this team of Architects with committed people to work with other teams and vendors to deliver high assurance services and solutions for our customers in the UK and overseas. This role will be a Network Architect who combines strong technical skills with an ability to create collateral that meets challenging customer requirements. The candidate will have strong analytical skills and work ethos and have confidence in their technical ability to deliver high level solutions in line with customer expectations. They will work closely with the Project Managers, Solution Owners and Customer to produce high level design documentation on a wide variety of complex changes and bids that vary in size and complexity.
Your transferable skills and experience:
• Demonstrable experience to create innovative network solutions and offerings against the customers’ requirements.
•Previous experience working alongside the customer to workshop through the business problems and derive requirements. Previous experience in requirements management and associated tooling.
• Create and be responsible for High Level Designs and Architecture Overview Document that meet, or exceed, the customers’ expectations utilising technologies from a variety of industry leading vendors.
• Production of estimates including BOMs, licensing and effort based on chosen methodology.
• Ensure designs produced are fit for purpose and are capable of being put through internal governance and assurance, and the overall impact of the requested change is capable of being delivered to time, cost, quality and requirements.
• Provide input into reports, when required, to the customer and Lead Network Bid Architects.
• Previous experience working on bids and/or large and complex changes.
• Solid understanding of a variety of network and routing protocols.
• Demonstrable experience of working with multiple teams, supporting Bid Managers, Commercials and other Architects.
• Excellent communications skills with multiple stakeholders, able to take ownership and responsibility, with good attention to detail.
