Due to continued growth and success, a fantastic permanent opportunity to join a friendly team and company who invest in their workforce as a Purchasing Administrator and offer a great place to work.
The Role:
* Working within a Purchasing team
* Responsible for ensuring all orders and parts are placed and delivered within timescales required
* Order processing and order administration
* Processing account opening forms
* Order progressing
* Assisting with stock management and stock control
* Shipping & Import Tracking & Management
* Liaising with Vendor Supply Chain
* Supporting Warehouse with Booking In & Out issues
* Quotation administration
* Price list administration & conversion
* Updating and sanitising system information including product information and new contacts
* Answering incoming calls, dealing with pricing enquiries, queries and transferring calls
* Progressing enquiries from customers to enable the enquiry to progress to a quote
* Chase quote status to obtain the order and/or distinguish the status of the quote
* Dealing with supplier and customer queries to progress the order
* Negotiating
Skills and Attributes required:
* Excellent communication skills (telephone and email)
* Ability to influence and build strong supplier relations
* Confident in dealing with deadlines and working under pressure
* Strong PC skills in all Microsoft packages
* Strong organisational skills
* Accurate data entry and attention to detail
* Customer account management, purchasing or sales experience
* Experience in using Sage 50 or similar
