We are seeking an experienced Agency Chef / Head Chef to join our team in London. This role is ideal for a skilled chef with a background in care homes or hospitals, who can manage kitchen operations, maintain high food safety standards, and deliver nutritious, high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and cook meals that meet dietary requirements and nutritional standards.
• Manage kitchen staff and ensure efficient daily operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to Food Safety Level 3 guidelines.
• Order and manage stock to minimize waste and control costs.
• Ensure compliance with all food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
• Adapt menus based on dietary needs, allergies, and cultural preferences.
• Work efficiently in different environments as an agency chef, adapting to various care homes or hospital settings.
Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Chef or Head Chef in a care home or hospital.
• Food Safety Level 3 certification (essential).
• Strong knowledge of dietary requirements for vulnerable individuals.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to different kitchen environments.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
