The post holder needs to be innovative and organized developing effective ways of working to create strong partnerships and relationships with all stakeholders to support the developing virtual ward, Community Assessment Units and develop an organisational culture that fosters collaborative working among all staff groups, to ensure a focused commitment to delivering quality services and outcomes. Please note this vacancy is for 8 hours covering Saturday & Sunday, 4 hours each day Main duties of the job To contribute to the provision of effective and efficient running of the virtual ward and Community Assessment Unit, including answering telephone calls from patients, carers, and other health care agencies and professionals and accurately receiving and recording information to convey to other staff through the electronic patient record or verbally in a timely way. The administrator will also assist in processing email referrals and messages received by the team. The administrator role will adhere to the service specification and operating procedures and provide administrative support to multidisciplinary staff. The Virtual Ward receives referrals for Urgent Care response within the community. The Community Assessment Unit receives referrals from GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. There will be a need to allocate to, prioritise, and communicate with the team to ensure seamless, consistent, and safe care to patients.
