Role Purpose
This is an exciting opportunity to become a team leader within an expanding team responsible for overseeing the Department’s response to Subject Access Requests (SARs) made under the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA) by offenders.
Main Activities / Responsibilities
The job holder will be required to undertake the following duties and responsibilities:
* Lead, manage and motivate their team and set stretching and achievable targets to ensure requests are completed within the statutory timeframe.
* Plan internal resources and allocate work to ensure that all requests are completed on time.
* Effectively manage their team and individual performance including quality checks of staff.
* Act as a role model and demonstrate behaviours which support the organisation’s values.
* Ensure learning and development needs for all staff are identified and met.
* Provide advice and assistance to stakeholders on the processing of offender SARs.
* Assist with any ad-hoc general office duties as required.
Person Specification
Essential skills:
* Experience of leading a team.
* Working knowledge of the DPA and GDPR.
* Experience of delivering customer service excellence.
* Experience of using Microsoft Office applications.
