Job Summary:
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will provide essential care and assistance to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. You will support service users in managing their daily activities, promoting their well-being, and encouraging independence while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Providing Personalised Support
Assist individuals with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
Support service users in maintaining their independence and improving their quality of life.
Encourage and facilitate social interaction and engagement in community activities.
✅ Mental Health Support & Well-Being
Offer emotional support and active listening to service users experiencing distress.
Support individuals with managing anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions.
Implement coping strategies and support therapeutic interventions as directed by mental health professionals.
✅ Medication & Healthcare Support
Prompt and assist with medication management in line with care plans and policies.
Monitor and report any changes in a service user's mental or physical health to the relevant professionals.
Liaise with nurses, social workers, and medical professionals to ensure coordinated care.
✅ Crisis Management & Safeguarding
Respond effectively to crises and de-escalate situations in a calm and professional manner.
Follow safeguarding protocols to protect vulnerable individuals from harm.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, interventions, and progress.
✅ Record-Keeping & Compliance
Maintain accurate case notes and documentation in line with organisational policies.
Ensure confidentiality and adhere to GDPR regulations.
Comply with relevant health and safety policies.
Essential Skills & Requirements:
