Customer Service Advisor
We are seeking an individual with customer service experience. You will ideally have worked previously within a customer service focused environment, perhaps within an inbound and outbound contact centre or call centre environment.
This position is initially a 12-month fixed term contract.

What will you be doing?
As Customer Service Advisor, you will act as the first point of contact for students, members, employers, and customers, ensuring a first-class and personalised experience is delivered.
In addition, you will:
1. Be the first point of resolution for all customer and member-related enquiries.
2. Provide customers and members with advice and guidance on next steps and their ongoing journey with upselling and cross-selling training, qualifications, events, and flagship conferences.
3. Develop and maintain excellent communications with other teams to ensure a coordinated approach to all commercial activities.
4. Provide support to the Membership Journey Team with assessing applications for student membership, new Associates and Fellows, administering exemptions, handling renewals, and upgrades and removals from the register of members.
5. Record all customer interaction on the internal CRM.
6. Process payments for conferences and events.
7. Deal with student queries relating to study and exams.
8. Undertake welcome calls to assist onboarding and retention.
9. Proactively undertake appropriate follow-up activity to support conversion and retention.
10. Actively promote benefits of membership including access to local branches and events.
11. Support promotion opportunities and declarations.
12. Take payments for memberships and subscriptions.
13. Any other reasonable related and required duties.
About you:
You will need to have relevant experience within a similar position, problem solving, administering and responding to customer enquiries. You will need to have a positive outlook and an unflappable approach to your work.
You will also need:
1. Experience using a CRM.
2. Experience operating on the phone, with a track record of success in developing customer relationships.
3. Excellent listening and questioning skills.
4. To be computer savvy.
5. To be a proactive team player with a customer-first, collaborative and solution-focused approach.
6. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
What’s in it for you?
The Customer Service Advisor is a 12-month fixed term contract opportunity. The working hours are 9am-5pm Mon-Fri with some hybrid working (1 day from home - Friday). The applicable salary is up to £24,150pa (dependent on experience) and increases following a successful probation period.
