Would you like to be part of our winning team? We are currently recruiting a Monitoring Engineering Technician to join our Monitoring department. This is a great opportunity for someone who has previous experience in a recruitment role, to gain experience in a growing business. The successful applicant will be reporting to the Operations Manager and will be based out of one of our regional offices in the UK. What will I be doing in my new role? Understand and support the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies and Management System Follow company procedures and policies Carry out the appropriate tasks as outlined/briefed by the task/team leader or project manager responsible Understand the importance of good communication between colleagues/team leaders/PM’s Be professional in all contact/conduct with public, client and fellow colleagues Follow the required equipment vehicle protocols Attend briefings as required Assist the surveyor or Engineer in collecting/loading equipment Report hours worked and description of works completed on Job Diary (KOMPASS) daily. Attend the relevant training course/induction as required for project Assist teams to carry out installation of monitoring projects under instruction and briefing by the PE/M Ensure that all materials and fixings have been prepared for the project. Ensure that all tools and equipment is on good working order and ready for the project. Liaise with the SS or PE/M if any issues encountered during briefing. Read and understand all methodologies and the project at hand. Assist in training of IT’s. Ensure all monitoring networks are installed as per dept. guidelines. Ensure that all handovers upon completion of installation and project start are carried out if required i.e., if no SS is present on project. Completion of installation record sheets Keep daily diaries of tasks carried out. What qualifications/ previous experience do I need? To have good knowledge of monitoring survey techniques such as: Installation of control including number of points, density, and location for the project at hand Installation of monitoring points Basic processing of control/monitoring networks To have good knowledge of monitoring software for the following monitoring techniques: Environmental Geotechnical Geodetic To have good knowledge of installation/engineering for the following services: Environmental Geotechnical (& Sensors) Geodetic Problem Solving. Manual Handling Training Health, Safety and Environmental Training – SPA, RAMS, lone working etc CSCS Card SSSTS Qualification First Aider – Full Qualification Physically capable to carry out the role Able to travel nationwide Very good level of English What key attributes do I need?
