THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of our mechanical and electrical projects. You will work closely with project teams to ensure that all costs are controlled, payments are processed, and projects are delivered within budget.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Application for Payments: Prepare and submit accurate applications for payment in a timely manner.
2. Cost Control: Monitor project costs, ensuring that all expenditure is tracked and controlled against the agreed budget.
3. Variations Management: Manage variations, ensuring they are accurately recorded, valued, and agreed upon with clients and subcontractors.
4. Sub-Contractor Account Management: Prepare and agree on sub-contractor accounts, ensuring that all payments are processed in line with contractual terms.
5. Contractual Notices: Issue notices in accordance with contract requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant conditions and legal obligations.
6. Final Accounts: Prepare and negotiate final accounts, ensuring all parties agree to the final financial position of projects.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
1. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in a similar role within the mechanical and electrical sector.
3. Strong knowledge of contract administration, cost control, and commercial management.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
5. Proficient in relevant software, including cost management and project management tools.
