The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a varied and dynamic role, working closely with senior leadership to ensure the finance function is robust and scalable. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing financial operations, reporting, and compliance, as well as supporting strategic initiatives as the company continues to expand.
Sitting within a high-growth and fast-paced environment, this role requires a proactive individual who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys solving problems, and is comfortable working across multiple business functions. This role offers the opportunity to take part in expansion across the EMEA region and supporting the release of new product lines/brands.
Responsibilities
1. Own the financial management of the company, ensuring accuracy in reporting and compliance as well as budgetary adherence and cost control.
2. Manage monthly close processes, presenting financial results to the FD and senior stakeholders.
3. Own and manage the financial KPIs such as channel profitability, product margin analysis and drive the development of a KPI dashboard.
4. Oversee local compliance reporting and tax filings.
5. Drive process improvement projects within systems and processes, ensuring scalability as the business grows.
6. Support cash flow forecasting and treasury management.
7. Collaborate with FD on budgeting, forecasting, and commercial finance initiatives.
8. Work within a shared finance function as we scale, providing coaching and development opportunities.
9. Act as a business partner across key departments, providing financial insights to support decision-making.
10. Support fundraising activities and investor reporting where required.
Essential Experience
1. Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
2. 2+ years PQE, ideally within a fast-scaling business.
3. Strong technical finance skills, with knowledge of UK GAAP.
4. Strong understanding of inventory/stock management/forecasting from a FMCG/Retail/Beauty/Health & Wellness (or equivalent) perspective.
5. Ability to work autonomously and solve financial challenges.
6. High attention to detail and strong decision-making abilities.
7. Familiarity with standard accounting packages and add-ons (Xero preferred).
8. Excellent Excel/Google Sheets skills.
Desired Experience (preferred but non-essential)
1. Experience with Ecomm platforms (Link my books, Shopify, TikTok, Amazon etc).
2. Familiarity with stock management systems (Linnworks preferred).
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 (DOE)
Location: Llantrisant (Hybrid 3-4 days in office)
Start Date: Up to 3 month notice periods considered
