Electronics Materials Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electronics Materials Engineer to join the Business at this exciting time.
What you will be doing:
To provide knowledge and expertise and execute tasks on the development of materials, processes, models and analysis methods, the application of materials to the design, test, manufacture, and service operation of systems, the approval, validation and control of raw materials and/or component manufacturing processes, and the execution of failure or defect investigations.
To provide knowledge, expertise, and guidance in chemistry and/or corrosion disciplines deployed in the support of the full product life cycle.
Responsibilities:
* Resolve problems through evaluative judgements. Analyze information from multiple sources, interpret results, and identify effective solutions by applying technical knowledge, expertise, and engineering judgement.
* Responsible for defined technical packages of work providing leadership and delivery against programme milestones within agreed costs, timescales and quality requirements.
* Act as a point of contact within Materials Engineering and share subject matter knowledge across the function, including providing advisory services to designated customers and influencing peer groups.
* Understand company business objectives and ensure that the work supports these; act in accordance with both company values and those associated with being a professional engineer.
* Promote, encourage and support the identification and implementation of continuous improvement both within and outside immediate sphere and prompt action across the wider team.

What we are looking for:

* Bachelor's degree, Master's, or PhD in Engineering or equivalent technical capability based on practical knowledge and experience.
* Technical experience relevant to the Engineering discipline.
* An ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking to a range of technical problems.
* Knowledge and experience of product integrity/liability and certification frameworks.
* Membership in a relevant professional body appropriate to the region; in the UK, attained/working towards Chartered status is preferred.
