This is a national role where the successful candidate will be expected to frequently attend delivery units within the Anglia region
About the role
Reporting to the Operating System Deployment Manager, you will:
* Be responsible for supporting deployment of the operating system within delivery units, and train, lead, and provide technical expertise.
* Deploy a range of tools, principles, and behaviours to enable identification and delivery of improvement opportunities aligned to key business goals.
* Engage with regional operational teams and functional experts to embed the operating system as the standard way of working.
* Lead projects and support a larger programme, tackling issues or re-occurring challenges using problem solving, in-depth analysis, and implementation of sustainable countermeasures.
* Develop, and coach others to develop, Value Stream Maps to identify improvement opportunities to be delivered by field leads.
* Work closely with the functional SME's and support national trials of improvement activities.
* Work on multiple simultaneous projects on pipeline improvement and measure and analyse flow to improve value.
* Support the identification of in-process waste through understanding of the value stream.
About You
To truly excel in this role, you will possess, and be able to evidence, the skills and experience listed below:
* Currently a highly credible manager that can provide realistic solutions, including good people and team leadership skills gained in a management capacity.
* Ability to influence at all levels of leadership and coordinate multiple priorities across a range of accountabilities.
* Track record of solid data analysis and rigorous measurement of sustained results.
* Sound knowledge and understanding of the operational pipeline environment and Continuous Improvement tools and techniques.
* Experience of complex organisation structures and frameworks, and deploying change in a unionised environment.
* Proficient at undertaking process mapping and analysis, waste identification, and removal, and understanding of the principles of Lean thinking and tools, including origins and cultural aspects critical to successful application within an organisation.
* The ability to coach CI tools, systems, and behaviours to field operational managers.
* Relevant skills and experience of Lean, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement to Improvement Practitioner level 4 (or equivalent) at a minimum.
