The Opportunity:
We are delighted to be recruiting for a Risk and Control Manager to cover a 6-month maternity leave within our Retail Banking team at our Bristol Head Office. This role is available as either a full-time or part-time position (minimum 3 days a week) on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC). It offers the benefits of flexible hybrid working, typically requiring 1-2 days in our Bristol office per week, with a choice of working from home on the other days (following an initial induction period).
The overall purpose of this role is essential in supporting our commitment to Consumer Duty, with a strong focus on outcomes testing, while also contributing to the broader activities of the team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to join a values-driven team and make a tangible impact within a short-term, flexible role.
Key responsibilities:
4. Drive Consumer Duty Outcomes Testing: Have primary responsibility for running a Customer Outcomes testing framework to determine the extent to which the firm is delivering on its commitment to deliver good customer outcomes, in line with Consumer Duty regulations.
5. Support Broader Team Activities: Contribute to the Retail Banking teams broader risk management and compliance initiatives, including enhancing our risk and control frameworks, breach management, regulatory rule mapping, and governance processes.
6. Data and Insights for Decision-Makers: Shape the design of Consumer Duty reporting, including outcomes dashboards and the Boards annual report, delivering meaningful insights on customer experiences.
7. Stakeholder Engagement: Influence the design of processes and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure Consumer Duty materials (such as journey maps and product governance outputs) are aligned with our standards for customer outcomes.
8. Uphold Risk Culture: Model high standards of risk culture and governance, reinforcing Triodos commitment to transparency and sustainable banking practices.
What we are looking for:
To be successful in this role, youll ideally bring:
9. Financial Services Experience: Background in the financial services industry, with experience in roles involving risk management, compliance, or governance.
10. Customer-Centric Focus: Understanding of UK customer journeys and Consumer Duty standards, with strong empathy for customer experience and outcomes.
11. Analytical and Communication Skills: Ability to interpret data objectively and communicate insights to support decision-making.
12. Commitment to Sustainability: Alignment with Triodos Banks mission, values, and dedication to making a positive societal impact.

What we offer
In return for your hard work and expertise, you will receive a Full Time Equivalent salary of between £42,000 - £62,000 depending on experience, plus access to our extensive benefits package, where most of our benefits are non-contributory.
