The main purpose of the role:
As one of our Learning Support Practitioners, your role will be to assist our students in our residential houses and at Foxes Hotel, to help achieve our mission: to equip young adults with learning disabilities to find sustainable employment in the hospitality sector and to live independently.
The role requires all successful candidates to work a mixture of shifts: 7am-3pm, 2pm-10pm, and 8am-6pm on a 2-week rota pattern.
Key Duties:
* Maintain high expectations of all students, constantly challenging and supporting their development.
* Support students in their learning, under the guidance of House Team Leaders/Tutors, helping them reach their full potential.
* Assist in managing student behaviour professionally and effectively, seeking advice when needed.
* Collaborate with session tutors to develop positive relationships that benefit students' success.
* Promote students’ wider skills such as communication, self-advocacy, presentation, and teamwork.
* Work 1:1 with students as directed, monitoring personal management and independent skills.

Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in a similar role is desirable but training can be provided.
* Experience in supporting in the care or education industry.
* Desirable: Understanding of working with people with disabilities.
* Level 2 in English and Maths.
* Desirable: Level 3 qualification in education or care.
* Ability to work on a rota pattern, typically including every other weekend.
