Igne are seeking a meticulous and proactive Credit Controller to join our finance team in Gillingham, Kent either on a temporary or permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company's credit control processes, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with clients. This position requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software to effectively monitor accounts and resolve discrepancies.
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours each week. Igne operates hybrid working in line with our commitment to supporting a positive work-life balance for our employees.

Responsibilities:
* Monitor and manage the accounts receivable ledger to ensure timely collection of payments
* Communicate with clients via phone and email to follow up on outstanding invoices
* Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions related to debt collection
* Collaborate with the accounts payable team to resolve any discrepancies or disputes regarding payments
* Utilise accounting software for data entry and management of financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
* Prepare regular reports on outstanding debts and present findings to management
Essential:
* Proven experience in credit control
* Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, enabling effective assessment of financial information
* Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good organisational skills
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to maintain positive client relationships
* Proficient using Microsoft Excel
Salary & Benefits:
* Salary on offer is £26,000 - £28,000
