A bit about the role Sycamore Short Breaks is situated in Banbury. In this warm and welcoming house, we provide residential short breaks that support children and young people with learning disabilities aged 5 to 18 with severe, profound, or multiple learning and/or physical disabilities who may have complex health care needs. We are seeking highly organised and detailed orientated Administrative Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support ensuring efficient office operations and maintaining accurate records. Key responsibilities include managing and coordinating administrative tasks, preparing and maintaining documents, and assisting in the development of office policies. The successful candidate will have proven experience in an administrative role, excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. This position offers flexible hours, with the expectation of attending and taking minutes at least one Monday Per month, typically on the first Monday. You will make a difference by: Provide administrative support, including preparation of materials, photocopying, and processing referrals while communicating with parents/ carers Ensure accurate data inputting and processing of reports, organised meetings and training, and maintain financial records. Manage the team schedule using Outlook and communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the referral process. Lets talk about you: Excellent IT skills and experience of all Microsoft office packages including Excel, SharePoint, Word, and Outlook. The ability to maintain confidentiality, understand safeguarding responsibilities and act with discretion. The ability to be proactive, think on your feet and use your own initiative. A professional yet personable approach to give the best first impression of our services. Good organisation skills and the ability to be flexible and adaptable to the families being served and the team. Excellent communication skills at all levels by phone, email and face-to-face.
