About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Assistant to join our supportive school in Kingston-upon-Thames.
This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with students, providing tailored support to ensure their academic success and personal development.
As an SEN Support Assistant, you will support students with a range of SEN needs, both in the classroom and in small group settings. You will help create an inclusive learning environment that enables all students to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting students with SEN across the curriculum, both in-class and through small group work.
* Implementing individualised learning plans to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Providing emotional and social support, helping students develop confidence and positive behaviour.
* Assisting the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and adapting resources to suit the needs of SEN students.
* Monitoring and tracking student progress and liaising with the SENCO and other staff to provide effective support.
Requirements
* Experience working in an educational setting, ideally as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with additional learning needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
* A genuine passion for supporting students to achieve their academic and personal best.
