Awesome people are crucial to making our awesome clubs run smoothly. Working alongside the National Fitness Manager, you’ll keep Group Exercise in our clubs running like a well-oiled machine.
Your previous National/Regional experience means you're comfortable supporting our on site Fitness Managers & Group Fitness Manager’s in keeping members happy, through efficient Group Fitness processes and a dedication to class excellence. Plus our team of fitness fanatical crew, to ensure we're getting the very best out of our group fitness product. You will also support our onsite Fitness Management team in managing their team of dedicated freelance group exercise staff to ensure we have the very best individuals delivering our amazing classes.
A natural leader, you’ll understand what makes our class timetable great and motivate our fitness manager’s to push boundaries, through slick studio presentation, vibrant classes and small group gym floor classes. You will upskill our fitness teams in the use of cutting edge technology including Myzone, Fitbox & Les Mills Connect to give them the opportunity to develop their group exercise passion by ensuring they timetable high calibre fitness programs from the best fitness providers inc Village Exclusives, Les Mills, Hiit Company, Zumba & many more.
You’re super organised, so you’ll have no problem multi-tasking to ensure all key group fitness areas are alive in all our clubs, from training and coaching our Village Exclusive Programs, to program creation/development, choreography filming, quarterly launch support & upskilling our GFMs to manage a fantastic group exercise timetable.
You have a passion for group fitness and will have the ability to teach, audit and assess to presenter level standards in all the following fitness genres; Mind & Body programs, Indoor Cycle, Water Based Programs, Martial Arts or Boxing, Hiit Style Programs, Aerobics & Or Dance.

* Create an engaged FM/GFM team through development opportunities, reward & recognition and a culture of teamwork and support.
Responsible for
* People – The Fitness Manager’s & the Group Fitness Manager’s are supported by you. You support in conjunction with the National Fitness Manager the key skill areas of the fitness team whilst contributing and managing the full club fitness delivery. You ensure fitness employees are trained and supported, using their natural talents to deliver beyond expectations. You instil and sustain a culture of group fitness excellence with appropriate levels of informality and fun, providing leadership, motivation and development, taking into account employee welfare. You also empow our Fitness Managers to effectively manage and mentor their freelance instructor team.
* Brand Ambassadorship - You will serve as a passionate advocate for Village Health Clubs and Les Mills programs, embodying the brand's values and promoting its offerings to potential participants, teammates across the estate.
* Training and Education - You will have the ability to teach, audit and assess to presenter level standards in ALL the following fitness genres; Mind & Body programs, Indoor Cycle, Water Based Programs, Martial Arts or Boxing, Hiit Style Programs, Aerobics & Or Dance plus advanced level in some Les Mills programs, possessing in-depth knowledge. They have committed to supporting our fitness teams in completing advanced training and grading in LMQ.
* Product knowledge – You support the on site fitness managers in the recruitment process and motivate and challenge a talented team. Ensure the team has the product knowledge to retain & engage our Leisure club members and guests, not just in relation to the Leisure club but the whole Village package. You also support our teams to ensure we have the best freelance instructors in the area, so our group exercise timetable is vibrant, varied and high quality.
* Support and Guidance - You will support our on site Fitness Management team with the development and maintenance of an internal instructor talent database. This will inform resource gaps and LMQ defined levels creating a platform for managing risk and individual growth opportunities.
* Community Engagement & Content Creation - You will create a sense of community among teammates across the estate. Leveraging their expertise and enthusiasm, you will support our central marketing team to create engaging content, blog posts, and social media posts to inspire and inform the Group Fitness community.
* Attendance & Retention - You will understand that the purpose of creating a fitter planet must have an impact upon our clubs Group Exercise attendance and retention. By supporting implementation or connection with existing club level group fitness management game plans.
* Commercial - Fitness Management Experience at National or Regional Level is preferred, this will allow you to understand industry trends, mobilise and motivate a large group of fitness teams to achieve National KPI’s, ensure our fitness teams are focused on national fitness campaigns and be comfortable in the fast paced fitness commercial environment.

Support our Fitness Manager's with implementation of cost control measures without compromising quality of service.
* Quality – Support our onsite group fitness department’s to operate at optimum efficiency with required number of trained group fitness staff to meet business needs and exceed statutory requirements in respect of health & safety standards.
* Great Service – Support our on site group fitness teams with delivering group exercise in a friendly, courteous and professional manner. Member and guest satisfaction should be monitored using reflective feedback (ad hoc and using external benchmarking tools).
* Leadership – Provide vision, motivate and evaluate individuals and teams. Role model our standards relentlessly. Your enthusiasm should be infectious and catching!
* Management and development of talented people – Support in the recruitment, induction and training of Group Fitness Managers. Support with coaching & performance reviews, support with developing individuals have potential for career progression within Village.
* Financial performance – Assist and support the NFM & ROM in managing the clubs group fitness budget targets & NPS ensuring group fitness standards are adhered to. Treat the business as if it were your own.
Statutory compliance Delivering group fitness health and safety training including all nationally related Health & Safety obligations and group fitness compliance laws. This includes all aspects of fitness delivery.
