Company: Humphreys of Henley
Reporting to: CEO (and occasionally Hector, our Chief Entertainment Officer)
About Us
Humphreys of Henley is a dynamic and growing business that creates unforgettable experiences in the British countryside. From private tours of stately homes to hidden vineyard tastings and immersive days with local craftspeople, we tailor every detail to our guests’ passions and curiosities.
Our riverside office in Henley-on-Thames is every bit as charming as the experiences we offer – and it’s also home to Hector, the best Chief Entertainment Officer in the world.
We are proudly countryside-obsessed. We champion its traditions, celebrate its characters, and believe there is nothing more luxurious than being truly welcomed into a world that feels both timeless and personal.
About the Role
We’re hiring a Sales and Marketing Operations Manager to take ownership of the operational backbone of our sales and marketing efforts. This is not a purely administrative role – it’s an opportunity to truly optimise how we work, how we sell, and how we measure success.
You’ll manage and improve our use of Fluent, Pipedrive, Pipedrive Projects, and other systems, helping us turn insights into actions and plans into performance. You’ll also play a key role in helping us unlock the full potential of AI across the business – from automation and reporting to process improvements we haven’t even thought of yet.
This is a hands-on, internal-facing role that will support the leadership team in making smarter, more informed decisions while keeping our projects and systems running like clockwork.
You’ll Love This Role If You:
* Are energised by structure, clarity, and streamlining operations
* Get a thrill out of optimising systems and seeing the impact of your work
* Enjoy problem-solving and process improvement just as much as you enjoy a good countryside pub lunch
* Want to work in a beautiful, calm office with the occasional dog cuddle break
* Appreciate traditions and the quieter moments that make the countryside so magical
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Take ownership of Fluent and Pipedrive (including Pipedrive Projects)
* Ensure these tools are set up and used in the most effective way for our sales pipeline, lead tracking, and client journey management
* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and integration across platforms
* Analyse sales performance, marketing campaign results, lead conversion, and revenue forecasts
* Provide regular reporting to the leadership team with insights and recommendations
* Project & Campaign Management
* Use tools like Trello to coordinate and track sales and marketing initiatives
* Keep campaigns on time, on budget, and aligned with business goals
* Revenue Visibility
* Monitor incoming enquiries, pipeline performance, and sales progress
* Provide clarity on what’s coming in and where our efforts are paying off
* Identify where AI can automate repetitive tasks, improve workflows, and enhance reporting
* Be our internal AI champion – testing tools, implementing improvements, and training others where needed
* Support Planning & Budgeting
* Help with sales and marketing forecasting and tracking against budget
* Make sure we stay focused on what drives results
* Occasional Client Support
* While this is mainly an internal role, you will support the itinerary planning and implementation with our suppliers
What We’re Looking For:
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in sales/marketing operations or business systems management
* Strong working knowledge of CRM platforms – ideally Fluent and Pipedrive (including Pipedrive Projects)
* Good Excel skills – confident with formulas, data sorting, charts, and pivot tables
* Familiarity with project management tools like Trello
* Experience using or implementing AI tools in a business setting is a major plus
* High attention to detail and a love of systems that work
* A natural problem-solver who’s always looking to improve processes
* A genuine passion for the British countryside and what it represents
Why Join Us?
* A beautiful riverside office in Henley-on-Thames
* Work with a small, passionate team on a mission to showcase the best of Britain
* Enjoy flexibility, creativity, and the chance to shape how we grow
* Plenty of golden retriever hugs (and occasional waggy tail meetings)
* Be part of something that brings real joy to our guests – and pride to you
To apply, send us your CV and a covering note telling us why this role excites you – and which countryside tradition you love the most.
It will help your application if you send us a short 3-second video telling us about your favourite place in the British countryside.
