Main duties of the job As part of the senior management team for the Trust you will Lead the operational and strategic development of the Division of Medicine and Emergency Care (DMEC), ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of unplanned care services. Work in partnership with system stakeholders to develop and implement action plans that drive improvement across Unplanned Care services for the Trust. Oversee the performance, efficiency, and day-to-day management of unplanned care services, ensuring they align with the Trust's strategic goals and objectives. Ensure the accuracy and appropriate reporting of information, managing action plans and updates as needed. Serve as the Trust's lead for the ICB Unplanned Emergency Care (UEC) Improvement Programme. Provide visible leadership and model the Trust's values and behaviours, promoting high standards and a culture of patient-centered care. The Unplanned Care Director will take full responsibility for efficiency delivery and operational delivery and management of the Victoria Infirmary Surgical Hub, ensuring robust plans are in place for all elements of this programme including staffing, equipment, scheduling, communication with stakeholders local, national and regional and delivering revenues to meet the business case expectations.
