We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children with SEND, supporting their development through engaging activities and interactions. This position requires a strong commitment to early childhood education and the ability to communicate effectively with both children and their families.
About Dingley’s Promise
Since 1983, Dingley’s Promise has transformed the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We currently operate 5 specialist Early Years Nurseries across the UK. Our specialist Nurseries offer families sessions from 9.15am to 2.45pm, term time only. Your daily working hours are 9am to 3pm term time.
During the 13 weeks of non-term time, there is availability to work 9 playschemes per year.
Early Years Practitioner Responsibilities
Under direction and guidance of the Centre Manager & Deputy Centre Manager, the post holder will work as a key member of a team to ensure that the planning, day-to-day running, and development of the centre is carried out in accordance with the vision of the charity.
* Able to make all parents feel valued members of the group and to use appropriate opportunities to promote parents' confidence and to involve them in the session.
* Supportive Key Person, ensuring that the individual needs of each of your Key Children are met through observation, planning, and assessment.
* Working together with families, professionals, and the centre to ensure a holistic approach for every child.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to education and care within the setting.
* Drive initiatives that enhance the learning experience, ensuring that all children are engaged and motivated.

Skills
* Strong understanding of early childhood education principles, particularly in relation to the EYFS framework.
* Experience working with young children in a childcare or nursery setting is highly desirable.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
* A genuine passion for working with children, demonstrating empathy, patience, and creativity in all interactions.
* Candidates qualified to Level 2 in Childcare are encouraged to apply. SEND experience is desirable. Opportunities to gain qualifications are offered to successful candidates.
