Team Manager | 7724 | permanent contract | 37 hours per week | £48,610 to £52,594 per annum | Grade L | King’s Lynn
Hi, I’m Becky Harris-Cook, Head of In Care, Life Beyond Care and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children Services. I am looking for a Team Manager to work within our Life Beyond Care service based in West Norfolk.
I am proud of the service and continued commitment to improving the outcomes for children. The service is very friendly and supportive, and we have built a culture which nurtures development, creativity and child and young person-centred practice. Our Team Managers really support their teams and the work they do to achieve positive outcomes for our young people.
I hope you will be experienced in working with Looked After Children and care leavers/adults 18+ and understand the challenges they face in transitioning to independence/adulthood. It would be beneficial if you have experience working with care leavers, but it is not essential as we will be able to offer training and support.
This is an exciting service in Norfolk which continues to develop and grow. You will be part of developing the working practices within the teams as well as working closely with partner agencies to develop a robust, positive offer to those children and young people. You will be joining a committed, supportive and energetic local management team, supporting a diverse staff group as well as managing a busy locality team focused on delivering a high-quality service. Quality support and supervision will be provided to you and we look forward to welcoming dedicated and experienced social work professionals.
Norfolk is a fantastic place to live and work. You will be based at our King’s Lynn office and work within our West and Breckland area. We are a hybrid service although encourage teams and workers to meet regularly in office spaces which are hybrid friendly. Therefore, a driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
You are required to travel as part of your duties. You will be responsible for your own travel arrangements and these must be carried out in the most effective and efficient way to perform your job.
These are some benefits you can enjoy by working for Norfolk County Council:
* Generous holiday entitlement
* Health and Wellbeing services including fast-track physiotherapy and a free counselling service
* Flexible working opportunities including flexi-time, part time, remote and hybrid working – dependent on your job role and business need.
* Financial benefits such as:
o ‘Norfolk Rewards’ our employee discounts programme which helps you save money on almost anything, from everyday groceries and clothes, to holidays, new technology, gym membership, trips to the cinema and days out.

o An advance of your expenses if you travel for work
o Local Government Pension Scheme with generous employer contribution, life assurance, death in service payments and dependants’ pensions.
o Tax efficient ways of getting extra pension and new bikes
o Access to our tax efficient car lease scheme for greener travel enabling you to lease a brand new, ultra-low emission vehicle (subject to eligibility)
o A payment if you refer someone you know to a hard to fill job
