Join the Build & Maintenance team based in Bristol as an Aircraft Production Project Manager and help us to achieve our mission of pioneering electric aviation.
What success will look like for you, as an Aircraft Production Project Manager?
As an Aircraft Production Project Manager, you will work with the Production Leader in running prototype aircraft production & maintenance activities, increasing efficiency and reducing delays. You will act to support and facilitate the Senior Aircraft Technicians in controlling the near-term workload of the technician workforce whilst ensuring timely work documentation conformance.
You will also work towards preparing an optimum schedule and process set for the build of multiple certification programme aircraft.
The team, and hence the Project Manager, may also be assisting in the build and deployment of test rigs, supporting the flight test programme and any other areas of the business requiring technician support.
You will report directly into the Head of Build & Maintenance, interfacing with procurement & supply chain, engineering and the wider build & maintenance team.
What would we like you to bring?
We want you to be successful in your role; to achieve this, you will need to have recognised project management qualifications or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment. The ability to independently identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and work sequencing would be useful. The role will require flexibility and adaptability to solve novel problems in a fast-paced & dynamic environment, as well as offering your expertise to other teams when required. Experience working with multiple organisational stakeholders, such as procurement/supply chain, and integrating business needs into production scheduling is essential.
A working knowledge of aircraft production/maintenance, including documentation and maintenance manuals, could be beneficial, but any experience with prototype development/manufacturing would be considered outside of aerospace.
It would also be essential to hold a full UK driving licence.
