Job Title: Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry Band: Specialty Doctor Location: Northallerton, Yorkshire Working Hours: 37.5 hours Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry to join our esteemed NHS client’s dynamic team in Northhallerton, Yorkshire. This locum position is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract, offering competitive rates. Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will provide high-quality psychiatric care to adult patients, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualised treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions. You will lead the team, advise the leadership team, support decision-making, conduct medication reviews and follow-ups for patients in crisis, prescribe medications, and formulate treatment plans with MDT support. You will guide the MDT, nurses, and junior doctors, ensuring effective team collaboration. Your responsibilities will also include attending relevant meetings, liaising with wards, internal and external agencies, other mental health teams, and GPs to benefit patients. Additionally, you will engage with local and national networks to elevate the profile of our centre and ensure all therapeutic approaches are evidence-based and effective.
