About the role
Full Time, 37 hours, Permanent role. 52.143 weeks worked per year (40 will be considered)
Prepare recruitment packs, draft s, person specifications and adverts for submission on our Applicant Tracking System alongside the recruiting manager and operations manager in line with trust polices and safer recruitment
Arrange and run interviews, including scheduling, interview panels, rooms, tasks and materials
Ensure all pre-employment checks are completed before the employee commences work, including requesting the DBS check, medical questionnaire and RTW clearances, suitable references, section 128 checks, completed pre-employment training, as required
Meeting with newly appointed candidate to verify identification and collect relevant documentation
Liaise with central HR and recruitment teams to arrange the issue of offer letters and contracts of employment
To action as appropriate all starters, leavers, and variation information to the Central HR Team using the HR MIS
Maintain and update staff data on the schools MIS ensuring accuracy of information
In conjunction with the Academy Operations Manager advise and offer practical assistance on appropriate aspects of staffing
To manage the staff sickness absence monitoring and recording process, reporting on a regular basis to the Academy Operations Manager of issues and progress, including the organisation of and take ownership of Return to Work meetings, Welfare meetings and referrals to Occupational Health

Who we are looking for
* A level qualifications or equivalent
* Administration qualifications/ HR qualification would be desirable
* Mental health/ well being qualification/ training would be desirable/ CPD
* Proven experience working in a school setting and administrative role with all necessary skills for the role
* Experience in a leadership role/ HR type role
* Highly computer literate with a strong knowledge of Microsoft programs and a willingness to learn new systems relevant to the role
* Awareness of confidentiality and sensitivity dealing with confidential information, including good awareness of GDPR
* Has highly developed communication skills; and the ability to prepare comprehensive reports and documents as required.
* Has proven experience in leadership, ideally in administration.
* Has experience working in a school environment.
* Has the ability to schedule complex interviews and has excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* We need someone who has excellent people skills and has the ability to drive change, support and inspire colleagues.
