We’re seeking an experienced Electrical & Electronics Engineer to join and lead our small electronics design team. In this hands-on role, you’ll take ownership of the electrical and electronic design for our range of products. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, reporting directly to the Head of Engineering. As part of a small but skilled team, you’ll be involved across the business—from design to customer interaction.
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading fault-finding and diagnosis of legacy PCBAs down to component level, while managing schematics, BOMs, and design files.
* Designing electronic and electrical schematics, integrating components like pumps, motors, and valves.
* Selecting and specifying components and suppliers with a focus on performance, reliability, cost, and long-term availability.
* Working across the full product lifecycle—from initial concept and design through to manufacturing and customer support.
* Supporting and mentoring other Engineers, contributing to design reviews, and driving quality through structured engineering processes.
* Documenting your work clearly and thoroughly, including manuals, test procedures, and technical construction files.
Key Skills:
* A relevant degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (desirable), and solid post-qualification experience. Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status is a plus.
* Hands-on experience with design tools such as SolidWorks, ePlan, and PCBA design, along with the ability to manage complex configurations within a PDM system.
* A solid understanding of Product Safety Directives (e.g. Machinery and Low Voltage) and the ability to lead compliance-focused design reviews.
* Strong communication skills, a proactive and curious mindset, and the ability to balance priorities and deadlines.
This process should take about 2-3 weeks, you’ll hear from us throughout the application process, but if you have any questions or would like to know the status of your application, please contact us.
