CTO Manchester – Hybrid working – 2 days per week onsite Up to £150,000 plus equity Burns Sheehan are working exclusively with an ambitious scale-up in Manchester who are accelerating the development of their SaaS platform which is disrupting their industry. As they look to increase their market presence and further develop their platform after a recent re-platform, the business have ambitious growth plans to further scale and expand into markets outside of the UK. The role of a CTO is a critical position within the Executive Team and will be responsible for the strategic technical direction of the company, ensuring that the development and integration of a seamless technology function is aligned to the overall business and future growth plans. We are seeking a CTO who combines strategic oversight with a hands-on approach to support a multi-discipline technology team whilst ensuring quality of delivery and governance are being implemented. This role will be managing a team of Technical Leads, Product Managers and Engineers, with an emphasis on both the technical and product requirements of the company. You’ll be working closely with the CEO as they look to take the business through the next stage of growth and they are looking for a CTO with experience in scaling an Engineering function. You will be responsible for the Architecture of the platform whilst remaining hands-on to help support the Engineering team. Role Responsibilities: Supporting the business with the recent re-platforming of the product. You’ll be working closely with the CEO, Engineering and Product Team to ensure business requirements are met. Build, lead and mentor a high-performing team and help scale the team as the business continues to grow. Ensure quality of delivery is being met and implementing processes and structures to help support the Engineering team. Lead on the Architecture requirements of the platform to support the team as they integrate the new platform across their customer base. Ensure governance is being followed and implemented. Experience and Skills: Experience within a Leadership role whether you’re currently a CTO, Head of Engineering or VP of Engineering looking to progress into a CTO position. Strong knowledge and experience within React, TypeScript and Node. Proven experience of scaling an Engineering team. Strong leadership and team-building skills. Demonstrable success in stakeholder management and building relationships with the wider business to ensure business requirements are successfully met.
