My client is an established Housing Provider based in the West Midlands looking to recruit an experienced Intensive Supported Housing Officer to work as part of their housing and tenancy services team. As the Tenancy Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing a consistently high Customer Service which enhances the quality of life for tenants. Some of the key responsibilities as the Tenancy Support Officer will be: 1.1 To provide housing management services to supported housing tenants, assisting with advice and interventions to deliver care, support and supervision for tenancy sustainment purposes. 1.2 Leading role and case ownership for a small patch of customer accounts; managing but, not exclusively rent; rent arrears, former tenant arrears (in conjunction with the FTA process) in a timely manner, property condition, health & safety, anti-social behaviour, safeguarding, tenancy enforcement and property services. 1.3 Close and regular contact, if practicable weekly contact, with tenants and vulnerable residents referring them to relevant agencies. 1.4 Provide tenants, licensees or occupants with appropriate advice regarding tenancy management, rights and responsibilities in relation to tenancy agreements. 1.5 Use of Early Interventions at commencement of tenancy and record activities undertaken. 1.6 Support the voids process, liaison with the Housing Assistant to review referrals for void properties; minimize void times and work in conjunction with Assets and the One-stop-Shop to achieve set targets. 1.7 Sign-up new tenancies at property due to be let and assist with establishing utility provision for the new tenant. 1.8 Deal with replacement furniture for properties where an inventory is provided; ensure that properties are being maintained at a high standard. 1.9 Advise tenants and inform them of any re-charges due to deliberate damage or neglect of the property caused by factors other than those defined as protected characteristics. 1.10 Liaise with Concierge staff for hand-overs ensuring that any out-of-hours incidents are dealt with swiftly. 1.11 Respond promptly to reports of ASB, nuisance, harassment and domestic violence in accordance with provider's policies and procedures. 1.12 Obtain evidence from other team members if required for tenancy enforcement. This is a temporary role for 3 months. It may be extended as per business needs, but this will be at the discretion of the line manager. Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour Umbrella Ltd.
