Terumo Aortic are currently recruiting for a Senior Buyer. The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring the best quality equipment, goods, and services at the most competitive prices. This role involves driving best practices in the Indirect Procurement categories in alignment with objectives, actively engaging in professional and industry benchmarking, and maintaining a high level of awareness regarding market trends. Key duties; Actively contribute to GBS meetings Align and improve processes in close collaboration with GBS members and other businesses Drive improvement initiatives in line with GBS priorities Manage the centralization of the purchasing & procurement activities, for your dedicated spend categories on indirect purchasing and procurement Become the main point of contact for the organisation and the suppliers and have full ownership and control over the P2P process. Co-develop and implement the commodity strategies for your spend categories, on a GBS level Manage the RFI / RFP process, commercial negotiations, and contract negotiations for the suppliers, belonging to your dedicated spend categories. Maintain close and active contact both with your suppliers as well as your internal stakeholders, to guarantee that the most suitable and competitive deal is closed. Install SLA’s and KPI’s where relevant. Run cost saving and improvement projects in close cooperation with your internal stakeholders, taking into account their short and long term needs. Install a preferred supplier list where applicable. build good supplier relations according to supplier relationship management (SRM) principles Support the budget process for your dedicated spend categories. Qualifications & Experience; Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field (SCMP/APICS/CIPS) Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in a similar industry or operational manufacturing environment. Proven track record of successfully managing procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management. Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide guidance and support to procurement team members. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with relevant regulations, compliance standards, and risk management practices.
