There's never been a better time to join us What we’re looking for… As Group Safety & Environment Manager you will lead the Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) team, working closely with stakeholders across the A.G. Barr organisation to ensure that the company delivers against all of its health, safety, wellbeing and environmental commitments. This includes the health safety & wellbeing and environmental policies,compliance with legal and other requirements, improving our management systems in line with ISO 45001 and 14001 standards, and promoting a proactive health safety and environmental culture. Your responsibilities will include As Group Safety & Environment Manager your responsibilities will include; To ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and company policies To lead and manage a team of health and safety and environmental professionals, improving their performance through coaching and development To continuously improve the company’s management systems and maintain the certification to ISO 45001/14001 standards To liaise with external regulatory bodies and industry experts in order to define, deliver and maintain best practice in Health, Safety, Wellbeing and the Environment. To keep the business up to date with changes in legislation and emerging issues, having the ability to analyse, understand and advise on its potential implications for the business To promote a positive and proactive safety and environmental culture across the organisation, with the consultation and participation of employees and through the implementation of effective awareness campaigns. Leading and managing change in a positive and proactive manner to achieve the 3 year QSE plans To support the delivery of the Supply Chain capital plans, ensuring that all HS&E aspects have been considered and managed. Relationship Management, networking and engagement of key stakeholders in order to identify, then eliminate or control safety and environmental risks Performance Monitoring and Reporting and providing guidance & support on all Health, Safety & Environmental issues To define the training requirements and support the delivery of a training programme to ensure that all employees are competent in fulfilling their health, safety and environmental responsibilities What you’ll bring The successful candidate will have; Educated to degree level with at least 8-10 years working at a senior level within a Health, Safety and Environmental Management role. NEBOSH qualified (min NEBOSH Diploma and working knowledge of ISO 45001) and working experience and knowledge of environmental management systems and standards (ESOS, ISO 14001, ISO 50001) with AIEMA Certification Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop a high performing team Strong communication and relationship management skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels Proven track record of success in managing change and drive a positive culture across multiple sites Experience working within an FMCG environment, ideally food and drink based across multiple sites In depth knowledge and understanding of all relevant H&S and Environmental legislation and regulations and external certification standards Strong IT skills required.
